In the 70's and 80's the communitycentre "De Klink" in Koudum was famous for the brassbands concerts they organized there. Jurjen de Koning and the late Piebe de Vlught took the initiative by inviting famous brassbands from England. It all started in 1971 with the Black Dyke Band and bands like Brighouse,Grimethorpe, Hendon and many other famous brassbands. The concerts were always sold out. Through circumstances no more concerts were given in the Klink in Koudum the last couple of years. The Brassconcerts committee is putting Koudum back in the spotlight.
